Chemical Resistant System

Product Description

6044 Chemical resistance coating is based on condensation polymer of phenolic novolac based oxirane oxygen compounds but has been further upgraded to withstand the attack of severe corrodants continuously and hence can be safely used for immersion conditions. This formulation is loaded with laminar glass flakes. This product has excellent resistance to corrosive chemicals like Oleum.

Field Of Application

This is irreplacable system in pickling plants, electroplating plants, surface preparation baths of powder coating plants, fertilizers, high explosive factories, dyes and pigment manufacturers where continuous exposure to very corrosive corrodants including immersion environment AT HIGHER TEMPERATURES is encountered.

Details Of Kit

The kit is supplied with required quantity of Resin and Hardner. For optimum performance, maintaining correct ratio of Resin and Hardner is absolutely essential. Please do not use part quantities of Resin and Hardner. USE THE ENTIRE QUANTITY IN ONE LOT. Paradigm thinner provided with kit may be used only if thinning down is necessary to facilitate application.

Recommended Procedure for Application
  • The surface must be cleaned thoroughly. If contaminated with oil or grease, use specified Paradigm cleaner to clean the surface properly.
  • Prepare the surface in accordance with the required system or application
  • Use mechanical means viz- grit/sand/hydro blasting before application for achieving required anchorage.
  • Abusive surface preparation may result the reduction in coverage
  • Add Hardner to Resin
  • Mix thoroughly with screwdriver or similar tool (continuously scrape material away from sides and bottom of container) until uniform.
  • Large batch mixing: Use a propeller-type Jiffy Mixer on an electric drill. Mix until homogenous
  • The base primer should be thoroughly cured before application of subsequent coats.
Important Point to be Remember
  • Cure rate of epoxies/Polyurethanes is dependent on ambient temperature and quantity of mix. As the temperature and/or quantity of mix increases, cure time decreases and vice versa.
  • Success of the job is heavily dependent on surface preparation and strict adherence to recommended procedure. In case of slightest doubt, please contact technical department of the company.
  • Flooring /coating job must not be done when it is raining heavily and/or ambient temperature is below 10 C.
Note
  • Technical parameters mentioned in the literature are for general information and indicative purpose only. This should not be treated as specification sheet which shall be provided on specific request.
  • or bulk orders the product shall be supplied in suitable bulk pack with measurers.
