Product Description

DE-3020 is a protective compound which has a ceramic and fiber glass base.

DE-3020 is a Solvent-Free, high build, slightly flexible epoxy coating and has excellent chemical and abrasion resistance. This epoxy is designed with some internal flex which reduces brittleness and improves impact resistance. It is resistant to sewer gasses, sulfur based chemicals, dilute acids and most caustics. Suitable for full time immersion, formulated with a high performance curing system. DE-3020 also add body to the coating resulting in a two to three coat, no sag, high build glaze finish. DE-3020 protects the iron and steel from rusting and stops further corrosion, scale forming and wearing away of the metal surfaces mainly due to humidity, salinity, acid in rains and more importantly corrosive mud. DE 3020 instantly ready for use, specially formulated for easy application on Metal, concrete (wet and dry), fiberglass, steel and wood surfaces. DE 3020 is Non-blushing, non-water spotting, Non-corrosive and Non-hazmat coating.

DE -3020 with Fiber cloth wrapping system is special coating system designed specifically for Pipeline coatings. Fiber Cloth is applied to surfaces to provide reinforcement and abrasion resistance and will act as a sleeve over the pipe and will get mechanically bonded to the metal giving the pipe more life. Fiber cloth will give sufficient strength to old corroded pipe and new fabricated pipe as well, to withstand high pressure without leakage

Application Method

Remove oil, grease and other contaminants using proper degreasing agent. For severe corrosive conditions blast clean the surface. Special care must be taken on weld areas to remove flux & spatter. The cleaned surface should be coated with Zinc Primer on bare metal before it gets contaminated. Take DE-3020 Metal Protector, stir base thoroughly then mix 8 part of A base and 2 part of B by volume to uniform consistency. In conventional spraying, 5 % to 10 % thinning is recommended for ease of application.

Apply 3 coat of DE-3020 METAL PROTECTOR and 1 wrap of FIBER CLOTH. DE-3020 can be applied by brush as well as spray.
