Details Of Kit
1) Primer

This is Supplied in two components viz. Resin and hardener. Quantities supplied are in required ratio hence no weighments or volumetric measurements are required. (USE ENTIRE QUANTITY OF RESIN AND HARDENER. DO NOT USE PARTIAL QUANTITIES). This is clear, unpigmented low viscosity product with excellent penetration in pores of concrete and ensures very strong bond between substrate as well as intermediate coat.

Typical Properties

Colour and appearance Pale Brownish Yellow clear liquid
Viscosity of Mix(resin+hardner) Approximate 800 cPs at Room Temperature
Pot Life ( Working Time) 25-50 minute depending on ambient temperature
Touch Dry Time 2-3 Hours depending on ambient temperature
Over Coat Window 8-12 hours depending on ambient temperature
Cure Hardness 70-80 Shore D
Pull off Adhesion 50Kg/Sq.cm
2) DE - 4500 Screed

This is supplied in three components viz. Resin, Hardener, and Filler. Quantities supplied are in required ratio hence no weighments or volumetric measurements are required. (USE ENTIRE QUANTITIES. DO NOT USE PARTIAL QUANTITIES). This is Epoxy composition loaded with carefully chosen inert fillers to impart thickness and strength to flooring. FILLER in composition is packed only after vacuum drying in the factory and is prone to absorb atmospheric moisture; hence Filler should be opened just before intended time of use

Recommended Procedure for Application
  • Clean the area to be coated thoroughly first with hard broom followed by soft broom.
  • Remove the trace of superficial oil, grease, laitance by cleaning with Cleaner.
  • The surface should be dry and free from oil and grease
  • For the surface having deeply penetrated oil, acid etching with 5 % Hydrochloric acid is recommended. For doing so, spreading diluted acid (of the concentration as recommended above), allowing to soak for 10 minutes, washing with normal water till pH of the wash shows the value of 6-7 should be done.
  • After washing as above allow the surface to become dry. Drying time shall naturally depend on ambient temperature and humidity. If the surface has become free of entrapped moisture can be confirmed by cellophen test. For details of this test, Please contact our representative
  • Mix thoroughly Resin and Hardner of Primer by mechanical mixing (if required) for three minutes minimum; allow the mixture to deaerate for 3-5 minutes and apply evenly by brush on area . previously marked. For superior adhesion, sprinkle sporadically small quantities of Quartz sand AFTER 15 MINUTES OF CURING. Allow the primer to cure as per recommended schedule.
  • If the Quartz Sand is sprinkled for enhanced adhesion (as per pervious para), remove the excess loose sand by soft broom. If this has not been done, create slight rough surface by emery paper. Under mechanical stirring mix entire quantities of Resin & Hardner (of Intermediate coat) and allow to mature for few minutes and then slowly add part C. In case of unavailability of higher capacity mechanical stirrer, Part C can be mixed manually. Mix well for minimum 10 minutes and spread evenly using trowel. Allow to cure as per recommended schedule.
  • Mix Resin and Hardner of Topping Layer under mechanical stirring for minimum 5-7 minutes, allow the deaeration for 7-10 minutes and spread the mix evenly (using trowel) over prepared surface as per previous para. After 10 minutes release the entrapped air bubbles by rolling spike roller over entire area. Worker doing this job must use spiked shoes while rolling the spike roller. Remove the marking tapes 30-40 minutes after spiking. Leave the area well ventilated and allow the topping layer to cure for minimum 24 hours before use.
Important Point to be Remember
  • Cure rate of epoxies / Polyurethanes is dependent on ambient temperature and quantities of mix. As the temperature and/or quantities of increase, cure time decrease and vice-versa.
  • Success of the job is heavily dependent on surface preparation and strict adherence to recommended procedure. In case of slightest doubt, please contact technical department of the company
  • Concrete jobs must not be done when it is raining heavily and/ or ambient temperature is below 10C.
  • If the job is left for curing overnight, please put the barricades to avoid unintended walk over and maintain complete darkness in the area. In many cases, it has been observed that insects getting attracted towards light get entrapped in uncured layer and spoil the job.
